 A Series of Unfortunate Events

To me  A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket is nothing short of a master piece. Thirteen pieces of art claiming to be a book series. I can honestly say I've read everything from credits, dedication, and copy rights to what is written about the author and illustrator in each one. What surprises me the most is that not a lot of people know about them which is, if you ask me, a pity.

My Diary 2:

Dear Diary, my little sister and I entered a one shot Manga competition. A Manga is a Japanese Comic and a one shot is a Manga that only has one chapter. I am writer/draft maker and editor while she (the poor thing) is the artist. It's called the "The Soldier and the Invisible Cloak", which was inspired by The Grims Brothers fairy tale "The Shoes that were Danced to pieces" and it is due in the 8th of March and we are WAY behind schedule. Not to mention, non of us know how to filter it with the computer! Why did we enter the competition? to win the OF COURSE! And the prize is pretty cool, a set of Manga pens and colors and more. I am very exited and nervous, I hope things go well.

                                     My Favorite Book

"Wuthering Heights" by Emily Bronte is by far my favorite book. What captivates me the most is the plot. Even though it has a supernatural element, the events are realistic. The characters personalities also play a big part in why I love this novel. Their uniqueness has a timeless charm, for example, Catherine Earnshaw is selfish, materialistic and a liar, but that's what makes her who she is. Not to mention, the way it is written is very clever. The story is told by the maid who was very involved in the story, to a total stranger. Lastly, the themes are very interesting. The novel revolves around the ideas of revenge and selfishness.

My Diary 1:

Dear Diary, I have been a mess lately. I keep forgetting where I put my phone, my keys, my text books, and my hard drive. Not to mention I keep losing my notes, my thoughts and very soon my sanity! I think I need to sleep a lot, like hibernation!
I am a middle child in a big family, which means I only have power when no one is in the house and that's very rare. Having power means controlling the remote, have other people get you a glass of water and sing your lungs out and not getting yelled at. Why am I mentioning this? because yesterday my older sister saw some sixties movie and now she is walking around singing " Whats new Pussycat WAaaaaawaaaaawaaaa, whats new Pussycat WAaaaaaawaaaaawaaaa" on and on like some broken record! we finally managed to shut her up, but whenever we are talking she would interrupt and ask "Why didn't you Whats new pussycat" and it drove me crazy!! But now that I'm typing this, it was actually funny.

The Harry Potter Series is the only perfect series I'v ever read next to The Series of Unfortunate Events. The plot, characters and themes are so beautifully woven together. Even though they are a long series, a reader never gets bored or tired. It is a series I would never get tired of reading and rereading.

How to Make the World a Better place

In my opinion  reading can make the world a better place. Reading a book not only gives you information, but it helps you understand cultures and other peoples mentality. To make reading fun and not textbook related, I think having a bookshelf in every room is essential. To get other people interested you can have the main library in the room you use to receive your guest, so that the topic will come up and you might even exchange books! another way is to use technology to spread the joy of reading like tweeting about the latest book you read or asking for a good book to read. schools should also encourage reading by having book clubs and giving bonus marks for students who read a lot of  non-curriculum books. Book stores should donate books to hospitals especially to the pediatric department. This way everyone can have a piece of the world in their hands and the thoughts of the people who past away in their mind.

Where I See Myself in Ten Years

In ten years I see myself reaching my highest goals and ambition. I would be in UCLA getting my doctors degree in Classic Literature since I've already got my Masters degree. I would be composing a new bucket list, for I have already finished my first one. I would have my own car, flat and cat fully enjoying the life of a modern independent woman.
